Structure of applications
The first level (list and name of fields) is provided by Mobydoc in order to secure the maintenance and evolution of the software as well as its conformity to national and international standards.
Mobydoc provides a “general structure” (organised list of available fields) that you can adjust to your needs.
The other levels of the software are directly managed by the user regarding the specificity of the collection.
Reference list management
The user has a complete control on the vocabulary used in the database: while creating a record, the information inserted is generated by the user regarding the vocabulary used in the institution.
At any moment information can be added, modified or deleted from these reference lists.
The system is delivered with a tool allowing the import of authority list and thesaurus from other users of Mobydoc’s software
Profils Management
From the general structure, the user can built his owns input, views, reports and labels profiles.
In each profile the user choose what he wants to display or hide, the order of the fields and applies a layout.
Thus each collection can be managed with different input form.
The same profile system can be applied to the public display. The user can define which fields will be displayed (on screen, printer, or ASCII file).
